However, it has now emerged that the Canadian adult film star`s real name is not Karen Malhotra, but Karenjit Kaur Vohra.

This has been ascertained on various websites which have carried a picture of her passport with her actual name.

But why did she change it to Malhotra and then to Leone? Well, sources say that her surname `Leone` was coined from `lioness` because she is a Punjabi Kaur.

'Satyamev Jayate' Title track TV show to be screened in cinemas

Aamir Khan to come up with the most innovative marketing strategies. The actor who is known for his out-of-the-box marketing strategies has come up with yet another novel idea, that of screening the title track of his debut TV show Satyamev Jayate in cinemas across India immediately after the national anthem, Wednesday onwards.

Apart from that the makers of the show are also planning an on-ground activity at two PVR cinemas. As a part of the promotional campaign, viewers watching films at selected multiplexes in Mumbai and New Delhi will be asked questions based on Aamir’s TV show and their answers will be recorded on video. The video clips of the correct answers will be shown during the film’s interval. This is for the first time that a TV show will be promoted across cinemas in India.

“Satyamev Jayate” will air from May 6 on eight Star channels as well as on Doordarshan.

Sunidhi Chauhan got married to her childhood friend Hitesh Sonik on Thursday evening.

Hitesh is a music composer known for his compositions in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’.

Sunidhi, was earlier married to choreographer Bobby Khan but got separated a year after into the nuptial.

The ‘Indian Idol judge’ who has sung many chartbusters has known hubby Hitesh for 15 years now.

“She was a little more than a child when she won the Meri Awaz Suno music contest on television. That is when when we became friends. Gradually, over the years as she grew into a fine singer, our friendship blossomed into love,” said Hitesh.

The couple threw a reception party at a 5-star hotel which was attended by who’s- who of the Bollywood and music industry. Asha bhonsle came in to bless the newly-weds. Udit Narayan attended the ceremony with wife Deepa Narayan while Farah Khan arrived with friend and music composer Vishal Dadlani.

“I'm in the film and this is the vehicle associated with Emraan Hashmi and the songs are a big USP of any film that he does. So for now, the makers are concentrating on cashing him on the brand ‘Jannat’. When they get on the story part of the film and other characters, it will gradually reveal the content of the film. For me it's only about people coming and watching a film.”

While the actor has been kept under the warps for Jannat 2 promotion, but Randeep is enjoying the limelight that he has garnered by grabbing a role opposite porn star Sunny Leone.  Where many men would give anything to catch a glimpse of Sunny, Randeep is unfazed by her popularity or her charisma. When we asked Randeep about working with her he said, “It was like working with any co-star who is starting a new journey in Bollywood. She is still finding the way to get success and is very hard working. Actually I don't think about her life much.”

“I'm only interested in what work she does on the screen with me because I chose the film on terms of the script and the makers,” concludes Randeep.

Relief has come home to megastar Amitabh Bachchan 25 long years after the Bofors scandal hit the Indian shores. A Swedish whistleblower has owned up to being guilty of the charges and has also said that neither the then Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi and nor Amitabh Bachchan were involved in the case. In fact, according to reports, senior Bachchan was only being made a scapegoat due to his family relations with the Indian supremo. Now the truth has come out, and the Bachchan family seems to have heaved a huge sigh of relief.

"I speak from personal experience and personal exoneration. 25 years after the incident, I read today from one that pioneered accusation and investigation, of innocence. Of the fault that never lay before me. Of one that remained and shall perhaps remain a darkened spot, blemished beyond all recognition, but in admittance of wrong doing against me. No one shall be able to understand or even remotely fathom, the hours and days and months and years of the anguish of petulant blame that I had to go through," Amitabh wrote quite expressively on his blog late last night. The normally reserved Jaya Bachchan has also spoken out, “I’m happy that he has been acquitted. God is great.”

"I regret that my parents are not alive to see me given clean chit. It took 25 years to come clean the loss, taint and pain I had to bear is irreparable," he said.

"I don't know politics so I withdrew my papers but coincidentally the bofers matter surfaced and people assumed that I backed out.

"I was told that my name was planted by the investigating agencies as it was near in the list of accused," he said.

According to Wikipedia, the Bofors scandal was a major corruption scandal in India in the 1980s and 1990s; initiated by Congress politicians and implicating the prime minister, Rajiv Gandhi and several others who were accused of receiving kickbacks from Bofors AB for winning a bid to supply India's 155mm field howitzer. The scale of the corruption was far worse than any that India had seen before and directly led to the defeat of Gandhi's ruling Indian National Congress party in the November 1989 general elections.

Sitting in a bathtub filled with blood-red water next to a backdrop that reads, "Don't Buy While Animals Die. Choose Cruelty-Free Cosmetics", Rozlyn Khan – the captivating Gladrags model who can be seen in the upcoming film Dhamaal Chowkadi – will appear at the Captain's Deck of the Bombay Presidency Radio Club Ltd on Monday. The body wash and shampoo bottles which Khan used was filled with "blood". The event – was held by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India on the eve of World Day for Animals in Laboratories. Khan and PETA's point? That not only is testing cosmetics on rabbits and other animals harmful and deadly to the animals, it's also bad science and the Ministry of Health and Welfare should ban it.

"Testing cosmetics and household products on animals hurts animals and does nothing to protect consumers", says Khan. "With so many top-qualities, cruelty-free products to choose from, there's no reason to buy from companies that still harm rabbits and poison mice”, adds Khan

The EU's phased-in ban on the testing of cosmetics and their ingredients on animals is scheduled to take full effect in 2013. PETA is calling on the Indian government to base its ban on the EU model – a proposal that has already gained support from the Indian Council of Medical Research.

More than 1,000 companies around the world have banned all animal tests, but many still choose to subject animals to painful tests in which substances are smeared on their skin, sprayed in their faces or forced down their throats. Because of the vast physiological differences between humans and the animals used in these tests, the results are often misleading and of no use.

Rajasmita wins `D I D 3`

The search for India`s best dancer finally came to an end when 21-year-old Rajasmita Kar was declared the winner at the grand finale of third season of Zee TV`s dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ here Saturday night.

The Odisha girl beat Pradeep Gurung, 24, from Assam, Raghav Juyal, 20, from Dehradun, Sanam Johar, 20, of Delhi and Mohena Singh, 23, from Madhya Pradesh`s Rewa to walk away with the winner`s trophy and Maruti Ertiga car. The show had started off with 18 contestants.

However, Mohena got a cash prize of Rs.3 lakh for the best desired performance of the season.

The finale was hosted by Saumya Tandon and Jay Bhanushali, who opened the show with their dance performances. Judges and mentors Geeta Kapoor, Remo D`Souza and Terence Lewis also created magic with their spectacular acts, while grand master Mithun Chakraborty was seen applauding the performances.

Actor Anil Kapoor came to promote his forthcoming release ‘Tezz’ and support the finalists. The winners of first two seasons of the show were Salman Khan, from Bangalore and Shakti Mohan, from Mumbai.

‘Partner’ sequel on floors next year.

We would soon be seeing a sequel to another hit movie from actor Salman Khan. Speculation has it that the actor is all eager to act in a sequel to his 2007 movie, ‘Partner’.

It had earlier been learnt that David Dhawan had several sequels of ‘Partner’ in mind, but Salman wasn’t satisfied with any of the scripts. However, seems like Salman has finally given his much-awaited nod. The movie, if the grapevine is to be trusted, goes on floors next year.

So now that Salman is already shooting for his ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with ex-flame Katrina, will we see the sizzling two on screen for the sequel of ‘Partner’ as well?

Buzz has it that Katrina Kaif will no longer be seen in the sequel of ‘Partner’, and Dhawan has supposedly roped in Zarine instead. While Dhawan has still not given the green signal yet, but it is expected that he will do so soon.
